Natural Pink Rubellite Tourmaline

The first use of the name tourmaline dates to 1794 by Richard Kirwan. Rubellite is the name given to a pink to red coloured member of the group which is rich in Li and mostly Fe+Mg free. The group's broader nomenclature was updated in 2011.
